Forty-five minutes from Bratislava, two hundred and seventeen hectares of pine forest and white sand dunes enclose the Penati Golf Resort. The Legend Course, signed by Nicklaus, unfurls the longest hole in Europe — seven hundred and twelve metres at the fifteenth — across wide, rolling fairways guarded by deep bunkers, all the way to an eighteenth with an island green ringed by water. The Heritage Course answers it as a perfect complement, just as finely drawn. Two courses, one access: unlimited. You stay in a Villa by the Lake, modern, two floors, a private terrace and a dock set on the water, the course reached by golf cart. Each morning, a buffet breakfast, and the rest of the day to walk the sand and the pines.
