Golf in Mauritius

In Mauritius, golf is played beside the lagoon, often straight from the hotel. The east coast, around Flacq, brings together four 18-hole courses less than half an hour apart: Ile aux Cerfs, designed by Bernhard Langer on an island reached by boat, Anahita, by Ernie Els on the former Beau Champ sugar estate, and the two courses at Constance Belle Mare Plage, the Legend and the Links. In the south, Bel Ombre combines Le Château, laid out around a nineteenth-century sugar estate house, and La Réserve Golf Links, on the hills facing the ocean.

Golf is played all year round, but the shoulder seasons are the most pleasant: from April to June and from September to November, the weather is drier and the heat gentle. In July and August, at the heart of the southern winter, it is cooler and the trade winds blow harder. From December to March it is hot and humid, and possible cyclones from January to March call for some flexibility. We arrange tailor-made trips there: reserved tee times, private transfers, lagoon-side hotels and excursions around the island.
