El Kantaoui Golf, Sea Course
- Architect: John Harris, Peter Thomson, Michael Wolveridge, Ronald Fream
- Opened 1980
- 18 holes
El Kantaoui's original course, opened in 1980 to plans by a team bringing together John Harris, Peter Thomson, Michael Wolveridge and Ronald Fream, the last of whom saw the project through to completion. In 1982 it hosted the first Tunisian Open, the first European Tour event played outside Europe. The fairly flat front nine winds between residences; the back nine grows more adventurous, with a run of holes, from the 12th to the 15th, laid out along the sea. Generous fairways and easy walking make it a good course to start the stay, for every level.
Signature hole. The 14th, a par 4 laid out along the Mediterranean shore, is the moment you remember from the round.
